George is a writer and researcher based in London, UK. His short stories have appeared online and in print in the UK, USA, Italy, and Singapore (in journals, magazines, and anthologies).

George’s culture writing can also be found online and in print. He is a regular contributor at the Canadian film journal Offscreen and the American film/culture magazine Vague Visages (and he has appeared in various other arts publications). He has written on contemporary cinema, literature, music, and television.

He has a PhD from King’s College London, where he also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (teaching American literature) from 2020-23 and as co-editor of King’s English from 2021-22. His thesis was on post-postmodernism in contemporary transatlantic literature, and his research interests include affect, autofiction, race, and masculinity. He has published research articles, book reviews, and an interview with the Booker Prize shortlisted author Brandon Taylor.
